Inspiring landscapes far from the hustle and bustle, deep in the true Italian way of life. Superb food, the best wines in the world, friendly communities and excellent climate make Piedmont the perfect choice for relocation, holiday home rental opportunities and property investment.
In June 2014 the areas of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato were given UNESCO status. This has already had a huge positive impact on the area and will only get better. These areas are getting more international recognition and some properties are changing hands are astronomical prices.
The area is full of activity: skiing, exploring on horseback or on foot, mountain biking or on a rented Vespa motor scooter. Visit its world famous Barolo and Barbaresco vineyards and sample some of the best foods in the world in its multitude of keenly priced restaurants. This makes it the perfect place for relocation or investment!
Here are some quotes from Art historian Andrew Graham–Dixon and chef Giorgio Locatelli:
Piedmont is Italy's best kept secret.
Piedmont has a special blend of art food and popular culture - a winning recipe for life.
It has the most majestic landscapes in Italy.
It's a food lover's paradise - always the finest quality.

Piedmont is a large regione (a ‘regione’ is similar to an English county or a US state). It literally means At the Foot of the Mountains. Piemonte is the Italian spelling, piedmont is used by the English speaking world.
The outstanding areas are the Langhe, Monferrato, Roero and the Lakes (Maggiore and Orta), as well as the skiing towns. Other parts are less popular with foreign buyers.
- The Langhe - The area is beautiful, the people are hospitable and friendly, eating out is a great experience and needn't be expensive, wine is the highest quality (Barolo is rated as the best in the world!), and houses are the best prices ever. It's easy to reach having three major airports close by. It's very calm and not overrun with tourists.
- The Monferrato - A beautiful part of Piemonte. The area is very accessible as there are highways surrounding it. There are still plenty of good properties to be found here. The most sort-after places are around the towns of Nizza Monferrato, Costigliole d’Asti, Canelli, Moasca, Portacomaro.
- The Lakes - This area is also a beautiful part of Piedmont. Prices are higher than other parts of Piedmont but always a good investment. Orta is a hidden gem that is not so overrun with tourists.
